Pearl Callaghan MSN, APRN, FNP-B


Ms.Callaghan’s extensive nursing career began when she graduated with her Associates in Nursing from the College of Dupage in 1980. She worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of clinical settings including LaGrange Memorial Hospital and Suburban Pulmonary, specializing in Intensive Care and Pulmonary Disease. In 1993, Ms.Callaghan earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Illinois Benedictine University and a Masters of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus from Saint Xavier University in 1998. She is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. Ms.Callaghan has extensive clinical experience in family practice and her experience in nursing education includes teaching graduate and undergraduate students for theory and lab, as well as curriculum and policy development. Ms.Callaghan has a passion for teaching and has been a mentor and preceptor for many new nurses currently working in the field and is excited to work with the Illinois College of Nursing to cultivate the future generation of nurses.
